Fenland is home to one of the UK’s greatest natural assets with a rich wetland ecosystem, provides unique employment opportunities. 50% of UK Grade 1 agricultural land is found in the Fens. Naturally, there are high proportions of employment in Skilled trade occupations, and higher than average employment in agriculture. Fenland is also home to the market towns of Whittlesey, Chatteris, March and Wisbech. Fenland is situated in the north of the Combined Authority area, to the East of Peterborough, bordering East Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire.
