Understanding the impact of Covid-19 on our Labour Market
The Covid-19 pandemic has highlighted the need both locally and nationally for more timely Labour Market Information.
Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority very quickly commissioned the development of a data dashboard and a data analysis report to support local understanding of the impact of Covid-19 on the labour market and wider economy.
The live interactive dashboard includes key indicators and statistical information to support local decision-makers and stakeholders to recover from the impacts of Covid-19.
This data will be used by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Employment and Skills Board to identify existing and future skills gaps and employment priorities relevant to Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
In September 2020, CPCA also commissioned a ‘Covid-19 Economic Impact Assessment’ paper to understand the short term impacts of Covid-19 on the local economy and labour market. This report can be accessed here.
